Daily Dinner

Pickled beans from summer, biscuit, soup with zucchini, kabocha squash, llacon, tomato sauce, herbs, garlic, and hot pepper from the garden (plus canned beans, potatoes and barley).

Good rainy evening food.

A tuber from Bolivia called Llacon. Kind of tastes like jicama.

The craziest thing about them is that they contain undigestible sugars in them! What?!

Worms!

We harvested casting (fertilizer/poop) from our worm bin. The chickens were excited. We also made liquid fertilizer from the gross juice that collects below the worm bin. You dilute the grossness 10:1. It looks like delicious dark beer and smells like satan.

Presents!

New Years presents- little hars of honey. We made prints by carving rubber stamps- Kate did the one on the lid and I did the one on the label.

We were up in a cabin in the mountains- homemade noodles with sauce from summer and one of the last zucchinis of the year with a little kale and fake suasage.
