Backyard Birds

A wild turkey visited our backyard!! It made the chickens spazz out and make crazy noises, especially when the turkey got close to the coop.

Daily Harvest

So many bumpy squash!

So much produce!

Daily Lunch

My current favorite meal!
Poached egg on cheese toast with roasted tomato sauce and arugula.

And look at the tiny mellon! It's been too cold for our melons this summer, but we did get a couple.

For the bay area climate we have had some success with the Minnesota Midget Melon, which was introduced to us by our friend Noah.

Daily Canning

Pickle relish!

We have so many cucumbers this summer!
They didn't mind the cold summer.

Now how are we going to eat so much relish? We are going to have to start eating hot dogs and hamburgers, I guess.

Daily Harvest

Some tomatoes have ripened despite the cold summer. We are roasting them and making sauce, but won't have sauce to last us all year, like we did last year.

Daily Caning

Dilly Beans! Dilly Beans!
Same recipe as last year, hopefully these will be equally delicious!
These are our favorite kind of green beans: Nor'easers, originally the seeds were a gift from Rosalie's mom, Nora, and we love them so much we save the seeds every year.
If you need some seeds in the spring, ask us!
