Glorious food from your garden! Today D. & I drove out to a part of the Nooksak River, up towards Mt. Baker, that the Land Trust owns & is restoring. It's paid off. Big pink salmon run this year. I'll be posting fotos of the fish wriggling & fighting their ways upstream. We watched a juvenile bald eagle casually pick up his dinner out of a creek. Pretty smelly up the smallest creek where lots had already died.
> How much food can we grow in our urban backyard? > What is in season in Berkeley? > What is for dinner? > What animals have we encountered in the yard recently?
