Daily Harvest

We harvested the rest of the mustard greens in one bed because the plants were starting to bolt. We cooked it all and froze it for summer. It's nice, we're making space in the freezer as we eat summer tomatoes and filling the space with winter greens.

How big is yr freeeezer?
Our friends split a (happily grassfed contented, but then kindly & thoroughly-slaughtered) cow. They didn't want any of the innards & offered them to us. We got all excited at the prospect of heart, liver, lung, kidney, toenails, tongue, etc & consulted with our neighbor who was raised on a farm in Ecuador & offered to share with her. Imagine our disappointment when only a tongue & umpteen packages of lovely, but bloody.....liver. .....Which we piled up in the large freezer we bought especially for all the innardly parts in the garage. We are contemplating widely-spaced liver meals over the next 18 month. Would welcome balancing packets of mustard & kale.....planning for the summer.
