Al made us pretzals. Delicious! He dipped the dough in a solution of lye. The lye container had warnings about how it would melt off our faces and throats. So what! When Al ordered the lye from a chemistry company they had to talk to his boss at teh bakery to ensure that Al wanted teh lye for a legitimate purpose.
