Today it's flat gray outside with about 40-50 robins (& a few varied thrushes, & 1/2 doz. cedar waxwings, & every so often a herd of starlings) stripping the little crabapples off our tree out front. Clearly a FEAST for them!
The last few days have been warm & bright......we walked up to the little lake at the Stimson Reserve. Buffleheads & Wood Ducks. A crocus is blooming in our yard... & a few primroses.
D's having an easy quarter...whew. = lazy weekend days...ahhhh. Today I'm off to Mt. V. to see a Metropolitan Opera on screen (Strauss' "Der Rosenkavalier") with some book club friends, while D. goes to church & works on his talk on Afghanistan (Feb. 3).
His Birthday is Friday....we're having a small party on Sat!
